What made you decide to join us as a member?
After 2.5 years of working from home due to the lockdowns, I was totally fried and felt stuck, stagnant and suffocated both personally and professionally. My home situation was very chaotic with constant noise, chores and distractions, and it was very difficult to focus or get any work done. So when the lockdowns finally got over, I couldn't wait to step out and get back to some sort of routine.
I needed a place to clear my head, be productive, and get started with my next venture— Happy Turtling. So when I randomly stumbled upon an Instagram post about the Ministry of New, I knew I had to go check it out—and I’m so glad I did!
What’s Happy Turtling about? How did it start?
After stepping away from the hustle of corporate life, and about a year after co-founding a tech-based venture focusing on resume assistance and job placements, I sensed a deeper calling to support young professionals navigating the early to mid stages of their careers. This is when the concept of "Career Transition Coaching" took shape in my mind— a vision aimed at empowering individuals to make informed choices, both at the organisational and personal levels. I employ a novel approach to my work based on the premise that the route to living a life aligned to your calling, is self-awareness and emotional freedom.
What do you love about MoN?
I thought that it would be too artsy a place for me, whether there would be enough privacy and if I would fit in. But all concerns were put away after my first day.
The vibe, the energy, the PEOPLE, the food - each thing falls into place so beautifully. Marlies, Yash, Owais, Chef, all the staff, the members! I made some of the most amazing and empowering friends for life here.
It’s such a healing and welcoming space. Bright, natural light for most of the day, easy-going vibe, not too office’y, with all the happy plants and the open format of the whole place.
